Marshall S. Humes, DDS

We’re happy to welcome Dr Marshall Humes to our practice! He recently returned to his home here on the Central Coast and brings over 35 years of oral surgery experience, with over 30 years serving the Santa Maria and Arroyo Grande Communities. Dr Humes is highly respected within our local dental community for his excellent care and professionalism, and we are grateful to have him here to serve you and your family.

A native Californian, Dr. Humes grew up in the greater Los Angeles area. Following his undergraduate education, he was accepted into early admission at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He graduated with honors and continued his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center.

Dr. Humes was the founder and managing partner in a private Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in the Central Coast of California until his commission in the United States Army and United States Air Force stationed him first in Germany, then at Joint Base Langley/Eustis Virginia, where he served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, serving members of all branches of the military and their families. Following his retirement from Active Duty, he continued his service to veterans as chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Richmond Virginia.

Dr. Humes is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Southern California Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Dr and Mrs. Humes have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Please help us welcome Dr Humes back to the Central Coast.
